Archos announced the newest member of the Gen 11 lineup - Archos 101 XS 2, and it's expected to go on sale in the US this December for $279.
The Archos 101 XS 2 features a Quad-core 1.6GHz A9 processor, Quad-core GPU Mali 400 MP4, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, 2GB of RAM, 2 MP camera on the front and back as well, 16GB of internal storage space and a microSD card slot, let you increase the space up to 64GB. The tablet comes with a Coverboard, which is a thin magnetic cover that can also act as a keyboard and a kickstand for the tablet, letting you use it like a notebook or prop it up for watching movies. It’s a fancy design, one that we actually enjoyed on the first model. |
The Archos 101 XS 2 utilizes Dual-Band Wi-Fi, the next generation of Wi-Fi for mobile devices. Dual-Band Wi-Fi is capable of using both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands for a more stable, less congested connection that results in faster download and browsing speeds. The Archos 101 XS 2 also includes Bluetooth and GPS technology.
