2014 Cadillac CTS configurator goes live..!

2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan

Cadillac has introduced its all-new 2014 CTS, and they has just set the new configurator for the redesigned it.

The 2014 Cadillac CTS covers a broad swath from the $46,025 base model, with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, to the $59,995 VSport, complete with its brawny, 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6. Opting for one of the premium paint colors is all that's needed to nudge the Cadillac CTS past $70,000.

So the all-new CTS will offer 3 engines, two transmissions and two drivelines that can be mixed and matched to make six powertrain combinations that can handle all weather conditions and keep enthusiasts beaming - Cadillac has covered the bases mechanically.
The base engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, is shared with the ATS but has been retuned for 35 more lb-ft of torque. It comes paired to a six-speed automatic. The normally aspirated 321-hp 3.6-liter V-6 from the last CTS is paired to a new Aisin 8-speed automatic. But the hot engine is an all-new 421-hp twin-turbocharged V-6, available only on the V-Sport models, and it too is hooked to the 8-speed. All-wheel drive is available on the two normally aspirated models and only with the 6-speed transmission.

The interior of the new CTS is equally as sweeping, with Cadillac equipping all trim levels (Standard, Luxury, Performance and Premium) with high-grade standard appointments that include acoustically laminated front side windows, 14-way power operated front seats and the Cadillac User Experience (CUE), which comes with an 8-inch flat-panel display in the center console. While leatherette is standard on the base model, there are eight different available interior environments, blending soft leather, genuine wood, real aluminum and carbon fiber. An analog instrument panel is standard, but a 12.3-inch fully reconfigurable digital cluster is offered in the higher grades. In terms of connectivity, the CTS is supplied with three USB ports, an SD card reader and an AUX input. An 11-speaker Bose audio package is also standard, with a 13-speaker Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound system optional or bundled with a premium package.

The mirrors on the new CTS are almost concept car-small, with a low, sleek profile. They really add to the car's looks. Similarly on the inside, the designers stripped away the typical (and rather ugly) black plastic frame that surrounds typical rear view mirrors. This one is almost all glass, and looks delicate and purposeful.
