Actor James Gandolfini dead in Italy at aged 51..!


James Gandolfini, the US actor who famously played Tony Soprano on "The Sopranos", died on June 19, 2013 in Italy at age 51..!

Gandolfini suffered a possible heart attack while on holiday in Rome. According to TMZ website, The actor had been scheduled to make an appearance at the Taormina Film Fest in Sicily this week. He won three Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Tony Soprano, the angst-ridden mob boss who visited a therapist and took Prozac while knocking off people. "The Sopranos" aired from 1999 to 2007.

Gandolfini was born on Sept. 18, 1961 in Westwood, N.J., Gandolfini cultivated an interest in theater while he was still in high school, and then went on to study communications at Rutgers University.

He is survived by his second wife, Deborah Lin, a former model from Hawaii, whom he married in 2008, and their daughter, Liliana, born last year. He also leaves a teenage son, Michael, from his first marriage to Marcy Wudarski, his former personal assistant. They wed in 1999 and split three years later.

After getting his start in the 1987 film "Shock! Shock! Shock!" Gandolfini went on to play a Virgil, a mob-enforcer in "True Romance" in 1993 and a lovable bodyguard in "Get Shorty," before landing the role of a lifetime, Tony Soprano, a few years later.
