Dwayne Johnson has officially joined the DC Entertainment project for Warner Bros. He will be playing Black Adam in the "Shazam" movie.

Appearing in Mexico City to promote Hercules, Dwayne Johnson said he will make sure comic fans are not disappointed.
He said, "I am putting my heart and soul and my bones into this role."

Variety reports production has yet to being, but Darren Lemke is set to write the script for the film.
No production date has been set, as Darren Lemke has just been brought on to write. But once a script is delivered, DC is likely to move fast to get the film quickly up and running .
The Shazam movie will be produced by New Line, a subsidiary of Warner Bros.
But the film has still yet to be announced officially by Warner Bros., the parent company of DC Comics.
