The 2014 Nissan X-Trail will debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show. The X-Trail is the European version of the 2014 Nissan Rogue.
The Rogue and X-Trail are expected to look alike, but the X-Trail will have European tuning and powertrains, a Nissan executive told Edmunds on Tuesday.
Edmunds says: It will be interesting to watch how the X-Trail and the Rogue differ when the wraps come off of both of them.
The new Nissan X-Trail image is described a preview of the next US-market Rogue, which replaced the X-Trail in North America and is sold as that market's equivalent to the seven-seat Dualis+2, which will allow Nissan to discontinue the Qashqai+2 model and use the X-Trail as its replacement. Nissan will also be hoping to make it less rugged and with more of an on-road bias in an attempt to attract more sales.
