On Wednesday, Google unveiled the second-generation Nexus 7. The Google Nexus 7 is the best small tablet you can buy.
The big deal with the new Google Nexus 7 is the perfect mix of power and portability and features the world’s sharpest 7-inch tablet screen - putting over 2.3 million pixels in the palm of your hand.
In fact, the all new Nexus 7 has a 1,920-by-1,200 display and 323 pixels per inch, which Google said is the highest resolution for a 7-inch tablet and the highest PPI for any tablet on the market.
The Nexus 7 is great for gaming and with favorites like Prince of Persia, Asphalt 8, and Riptide GP 2, you can tilt, tap, and touch your way to the top. And with surround sound powered by Fraunhofer* (the MP3 inventors), your movies and games will sound as good as they look.

The Google Nexus 7 comes with the latest version of the world's most popular mobile operating system - Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), so it's fast, fun, and easy to make your own.
Google chose the Qualcomm S4, and with its embedded Adreno 320, with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM, everything runs faster. Plus, high-performance rendering ensures 3D graphics are smooth and dynamic. Google also doubled the system memory to 2GB, which allows for more apps in RAM and speeds up app switching.
There's also dual-band Wi-Fi, support for Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, wireless charging, and more.
The new Nexus 7 now has a 1.2-megapixel front- and 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, as well as dual stereo speakers, and virtual surround sound technology from Fraunhofer, which Barra said is like having a 5.1 sound system via the device speakers or headphones.
Google will offer three version of its new tablet: a 16GB Wi-Fi model, 32GB Wi-Fi model, and 32GB 4G LTE version. The 4G LTE version will launch "in the coming weeks" and will be unlocked, meaning it can tap into 4G service from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon.
