This laptop is amazing! Windows 8.1 has its pros and cons. The keyboard is backlit but you have to press the F5 key to turn it on. I was nervous at first that I purchased a lemon but the user manual explains how to turn on the keyboard backlight. Of course this will decrease your battery life. The sound is very nice and crisp. Also, I have no regrets about going with the 8GB RAM because its super fast. The mouse pad could be a little better and it could come with less things pre-loaded.

The software is solid and it connected to my wifi without a hitch and the startup was easy but took around 30 minutes to get comfortable with everything. I downloaded chrome right away and then downloaded steam and adobe flash in a couple of minutes. This machine is running fast, I decided to download The Elder Scrolls Online which is 80gigs and this machine is already 50% through in 3 hours. It's been downloading at 3.3 MB/s consistently.
