Sony has announced that it will launch its new Xperia T3 smartphone - "the world's slimmest 5.3" phone.
The Xperia T3 is a light and ultra-slim sensation - with the 150.7 x 77 x 7 mm chassis, built around a stainless steel frame, with an aluminum power/lock key on the side.
Built with Sony’s BRAVIA technologies, the Sony Xperia T3 has an impressive screen with a high-resolution 5.3″ HD TRILUMINOS display for mobile with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2.
The Sony Xperia T3 features a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, a 2500 mAh battery, access to 4G and runs Android 4.4 KitKat, 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305 graphics. It has 8GB of built-in memory (5GB user available), which is expandable by microSD cards of up to 32GB.
There is an 8 MP Exmor RS sensor on the back for snapping and 1080p video purposes, and a 1.1 MP front-facing camera that does 720p recordings. The camera comes with a number of apps to improve photos, such as social live to share photos and comments on social networks, an augmented reality effect to add sound and animations to photos, Timeshift burst to take 31 frames within 2 seconds, creative effects to change colours, add image trails or apply mirror effects, and portrait retouch.
Sony says the Xperia T3 will be available in 3 colors - white, black and purple - and will available globally in late July for a midrange price tag.
