New Lenovo ThinkPad 10 Windows 8.1 Tablet


The Lenovo ThinkPad 10 packs a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 WUXGA IPS touchscreen display, a quad-core Intel Atom Z3795 CPU with Intel HD graphics, up to 4 GB of RAM, up to 128 GB of storage, an 8-megapixel camera in the back with auto focus and flash, a 2-megapixel camera up front, Windows 8.1, and up to 10 hours of battery.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 10 will ship with the 64-bit versions of Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Pro. While the platform supports up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and 64-bit software, it looks like most of the models that will be available at launch will feature 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and 32-bit versions of Windows.

Details on a new 10-inch tablet from Lenovo emerged following a product page being posted on the Lenovo Australia site prior to an official announcement. The tablet’s features will include:
  • 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel displays with 170 degree viewing angles
  • Intel Atom Z3795 quad-core processors with Intel HD 4600 graphics
  • Support for finger and digital pen input
  • Optional keyboard or touch cases
  • 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 micro HDMI port, 1 headset jack, and 1 micro SIM card slot on select models
  • 802.11n a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional LTE/HSPA/GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera, Both cameras will deliver 1080p resolution.
  • 33Whr battery

Lenovo expects the ThinkPad 10 to be available in June, with prices starting at $599.
