LG's New G Pad 8.3 Android Tablet Announced


Set to officially debut next week at the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin, LG announced the LG G Pad 8.3 android tablet, the latest addition to its G Series lineup of premium mobile devices.
The all-new LG G Pad 8.3 has a 1920×1200 resolution display, which LG claims makes it the first 8-inch tablet with a Full HD display, it's the first 8-inch tablet with a full HD display on the market.

Other features on the G Pad 8.3 include the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 Processor with 1.7GHz Quad-Core CPU enhances the viewing experience with powerful performance as users will be able to enjoy Full HD content without any compromise.

It comes with 16 GB of memory, 2 GB of RAM. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera and on the front is a 1.3 megapixel shooter. The G Pad 8.3 is powered by a 4,600mAh battery but LG hasn’t made any claims regarding the battery life. The G Pad 8.3 runs on Android 4.2.2.(Jelly Bean).

The LG G Pad 8.3 has a few LG-specific features, including:

QPair app which lets you tablet with an Android phone to view and respond to calls, text messages and other phone notifications on your tablet.
The KnockON utility lets you turn on the tablet by tapping the display twice (just like on the LG G2 smartphone).
Slide Aside and QSlide features let you multitask by moving current apps to the side of the screen with a three-finger swipe, and control up to three apps in one window.

The LG G Pad 8.3 will go on sale in North America, Europe and Asia as well as other regions starting in the fourth quarter of 2013. Prices will be announced at launch time.
