Apple launched its new lineup of iPhone 5s and iPhone 5C smartphones on Friday.
All iPhone 5s models, including the champagne-colored device, are listed on Apple's website as shipping in October, for all carriers and storage sizes. All colors and versions of the lower-end iPhone 5c, meanwhile, are listed as shipping within 24 hours.
Apple's gold iPhone 5s is not actually made of gold, but one eBay user paid the equivalent price for the new smartphone. Bidding on a 16GB factory-unlocked "very hard to find" iPhone 5s ended Monday at 4 p.m. Eastern, with a final price tag of $10,100, plus $22.95 for shipping.
