Screen:
I have read many reviews about this laptop, and everyone seems to focus on the negatives like the screen quality. I would just like to clear up a few things. I don't know if the touchscreen version comes with a better panel, or if I'm not as picky as others. When it comes to gaming I tend focus on frame rate and sharpness, not so much color reproduction. Not that the color reproduction is bad, I think it is just fine. Brightness isn't spectacular.

Speed:
The first few days of using the laptop it was slow to load most programs. However after a few days it is now much snappier and I don't have much problem with lag or anything. Gaming performance is good, I can play most games on high settings, and older games on Ultra without dropping below 30fps.

Battery:
Battery life is much better once I installed the newest NVIDIA drivers.

Keyboard/trackpad:
The keyboard is great, the lighting is awesome. Being red it is never too bright but it does light up a dark room at night.
The trackpad is nice but I do tend to brush against it while typing and that can get annoying.

Other:
The charging cable is awesome, it's very long and the plug for the laptop is very sturdy. The rectangular design is much better than the usual round type that feels like it is going to pop out or break off.
The included DVD burner is pretty nice, I rarely use discs so it is nice to have a thinner laptop without the built in DVDrom.

Whatever you decide, the Lenovo Y50 is an amazing laptop and I do recommend you get it in some form or another.
