New Samsung SSD 840 Evo offers up to 1TB of storage space..!
Samsung continues to enhance its SSD brand image by delivering the industry’s highest quality solutions and continuously increasing its SSD market share by expanding the adoption of higher density SSDs.

At the 2013 Global SSD Summit, Samsung unveiled new high-performance, high-density solid-state drive, the Samsung SSD 840 EVO.

The Samsung 840 Evo comes in the 7mm-thick, 2.5-inch design and supports the SATA 3 (6Gbps) I/O standard.

You'll be happy with Samsung 840 Evo, It's an excellent entry-level solid-state drive for budget and general users, but not really a good buy for advanced or professional users.

The company says the 840 Evo uses its compact 10-nanometer class 128GB NAND flash memory, and is equipped with Samsung's proprietary multicore MEX controller.

The 840 EVO line of SSDs is slated for major global markets beginning this August in 5 capacities: 120GB, 250GB, 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB, supporting a wide range of computing environments and IT applications.
Samsung promises that the 250GB model will offer twice the speed of their current 250GB 840 Series, reaching 520MB/s sequential write speed. The 120GB 840 EVO model should achieve 410MB/s sequential write speed, which is roughly three times faster than their existing 120GB 840 Series.

For the 1TB 840 EVO SSD, the sequential read/write performance has reached 540MB/s and 520MB/s. Furthermore, both the random read and write performance have improved, reaching 98,000 IOPS (Input Output Operations Per Second) and 90,000 IOPS, respectively.
